first time I tried inking an image with a brush tip pen, worked out nicely; the next step I suppose is to work on the gradients and maybe some color work.

I've been kicking around a bunch of ideas for comics and one of my favorites is a childrens story that kind of feels like a cross between little nemo in dreamland and ferngully.. This is sort of a promo image of a small piece of the story and one of my first few tries with inking. If I have time to finish a different sketch today Ill try to update again before sleep but untill then this will have to do...

Inaugural Post

I'm starting this blog to keep me drawing every day and make myself accountable, if only to myself and the empty space that needs to be filled. I love to draw and when I find myself going more than a few days without doing a single sketch I start going a bit crazy, hmm, alright a lot crazy.. At any rate I know if I want to ever make this a career I have to be a little more than a little diligent in doing some work every time I sit down to my computer rather than becoming absorbed into the almost infinite loops that are so easy to be caught in when browsing Wikipedia or doing a Google image search. I will try to put quality drawings up here untill I have time to build a new site that's as easy to update as this, or at least close.
